We are proud to organize special events to promote fishing, notably with young anglers. Participation to those events is entirely free, we are simply trying to have fun, to catch big fish, and to get an even bigger smile from young anglers.
CARPORAMA 2018 **REGISTRATIONS JUN-18**
Our 2018 event is being planned...
AT SOME POINT, rain or shine, we'll catch big fish at Spy Pond Park (Arlington, MA).
Places will be limited, if you're interested, please send an e-mail to jmoisand@gmail.com, and tell us:
- the name and age of the young angler(s)
- if you'd like to come for the morning session (8am to noon) or the afternoon session (4pm to 8pm, fishing & picnic)
CARPORAMA 2017
Hm. Don't know what's happening to the carp population in Spy Pond. We prebaited for a week, practiced for carp fishing with the kids and tried hard, without much luck. We had a backup plan though, and everybody caught a few sunfish on worms and lighter poles. This was... Sunfishorama! Click here for a short video assembled by my son Felix.
We'll try to take some of the kids to fish Mystic Lakes in the coming few weeks, stay tuned...
CARPORAMA 2016
Well, this one was a complete bust. The Town of Arlington treated the pond for weeds a couple of weeks before the event, and this completely killed the fishing, we didn't get a single bite, nada, zip. First year we had such bad luck. Oh well, we practiced knots and casting and other things. And next year will be better!
CARPORAMA 2015
One more year, time flies. Well, we did it again. And it worked again, a tad slow in the morning (5 fish landed) and a perfect score in the afternoon (8 fish for 8 kids), up to a mighty 15lb carp.

CARPORAMA 2014
Five years already. We now have a well established tradition, with two beginners' sessions and one advanced session. And we caught nice fish again, a total of 19 biggies. What a blast!

CARPORAMA 2013
What an amazing year! We had 20 kids total taking turns, and each and every of them caught a carp, and a few of them even got a second fish. Yep, 25 carp landed in a single day of fishing... Oh, and we beat our local record twice, first in the morning with a 17lber, only to see a 18lber come to our net in the afternoon! No need to say the excitement ran pretty high.

We got seriously soaked that year. We still caught a few nice ones though, starting by a 16 pounder!

2011 went even better than our first year. Two new mentors (Mike and Mike!) went out of their way to help, and the results (and smiles!) speak for themselves.

CARPORAMA 2010
Our very first event in Jerome's home town. We were a bit anxious, not too sure we could make it work... Yet it went remarkably well, many kids catching their first carp.

A first attempt at organizing an event solely centered on young anglers. Mission accomplished. And before you ask... No, Jerome isn't Quebecois, but he can speak French!
